I qualified from St George’s Hospital London in 1992, initially I trained in medicine passing Membership for the Royal college of Physicians in 1996. Following which I trained in anaesthesia on a Guy’s & St Thomas rotation including 2 fellowships one an Airway Fellowship at Guy’s Hospital and the other a Liver Fellowship at the Kings Liver Unit. I was appointed to a Consultant post in Portsmouth in 2006.
Being a partner in Portsmouth Anaesthetic Group gives enormous benefits to patients that I treat. We, as a group, are able to provide 24/7 on-call cover for our patients, ensuring that Consultant Anaesthetic input is always available.
We provide a comprehensive care package covering the entire perioperative period. Our preoperative assessment service optimises patients prior to surgery, our diverse skill mix allows us to provide high quality intraoperative care. In addition for cases that require higher levels of postoperative care we can provide excellent critical care support from our Portsmouth Anaesthetic Group colleagues who work in the Department of Critical Care at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust.
I work with a broad range of surgical specialties in my private practice, which reflects my NHS role.
I am married with 3 children.
Hobbies include flyfishing, cricket, wind/kite surfing and cycling.
